Don't Drink and Drive

Record high numbers of Americans are traveling this Fourth of July weekend. I offer this image from a 2001 Texas "Save a Life" campaign for the stark and moving message it carries: Don't drink and drive!

The small print reads:

The poster that shows a photograph of her face more shockingly revealing than all the warnings could ever be. How terribly difficult it must be for her, and how brave of her to allow this photograph of herself to be displayed nationally. If only, if only all people would leave their ignitions off when they've been drinking. It's not worth the risk in any way to anyone. I just want to wrap her in comforting arms of love...
